Boarding/Daycare
When your pet needs a place to stay for a day, a week, or more, we can help!
At King George Veterinary Clinic, our top priority is keeping your furry, family members happy, healthy, and safe while you are away from home. When your pets stay with us, you are boarding them with the full services of a Veterinary Clinic, along with qualified veterinarians and a pet healthcare team on board.
Nobody likes to leave their dog or cat home alone when they are away for a vacation or for any other reason. That’s why we take special care to create a space that is like a home away from home, complete with individualized attention and tender loving care. We also diffuse pheromones in our kennel areas to help calm nervous dogs and cats. At King George Veterinary Clinic, we make every effort to ensure that your pet’s needs are met. You can choose to have services such as a bath, or a medical procedure done during their stay, and we will make sure it happens.
Canines
We have our "Doggie" Suite where our canine guests are settled indoors with food, water, and a blanket or bed. We offer Purina Veterinary Diet E/N dry food, or clients are welcome to send their pet with their own food, treats, medications or supplements from home. We also have outdoor kennels on site, so once your pet has been walked by one of our team members, if the day is nice, your pet may spend some time outdoors as well.
Felines
Our "Kitty" Suite is kept away from our sometimes vocal "Doggie" Suite, to reduce any stress on our feline guests. Each of our feline boarders are supplied with fresh water, food, clean litter boxes, and plenty of love throughout the day.
Our staff monitors the appetite and urination/bowel movements of each boarded pet, and our veterinarian will be alerted if any problems are noted. Patients who are boarding and require medications will receive their meds as prescribed.
Important:
All canines that stay with us for boarding or daycare need to be up to date on Rabies (VA state law), Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella vaccines, and a fecal exam, if they are not current, they will be vaccinated on site.
All felines that stay with us for boarding or daycare need to be up to date on Rabies (VA state law), Feline Distemper Vaccine, and a fecal exam. If they are not current, they will be vaccinated on site.
These protocols are in place for the safety of your pet, other pets in our facility, and our team.
